Tending to the Cascades: Volunteer Cleanup at Argo
Showing Love to Our Favorite Waterway
If you spent any part of your summer floating, paddling, or lounging along the Argo Cascades, you know how essential this stretch of the Huron River is to Tree Town life. But welcoming thousands of paddlers and tubers every season means the banks take on some serious wear and tear.
On Monday, September 21 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, the Ann Arbor Parks Volunteer Program is hosting a one-hour cleanup workday to restore the shoreline. Grabbers and collection bags are provided—just show up ready to pitch in.
Wear long pants, tall socks, and sturdy closed-toe shoes to handle riverbank brush and poison ivy. Minors are welcome with a digital waiver on file (under 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Because parking at the livery fills up fast, hopping on the B2B Trail by bike or walking over is strongly encouraged!
